Barbara AcquilinaSessions are conducted by Barbara Aquilina, an accredited and professionally trained Australian Image Company consultant.

Barbara is also a certified Palmer Pletsch Sewing Instructor, a sewing teacher and practitioner with over 30 years sewing experience and the owner of Baraque.

About our image services

During a  Colour Consultation, Barbara will visually analyse your hair ,skin and eye colours  and then drape you in colour swatches to determine the season and the flow that will best bring out the real YOU.

You will receive a Colour swatch set and booklet

During a Style Consultation you will be measured and any body challenges that you have will be noted .

This information will be fed into the computer and you will receive a 129 page portfolio suggesting the clothes and styles that will best suit your body

Before and After Photos

Margaret, a former Baraque Palmer Pletsch fit student was returning to work after several years and wanted a new and updated wardrobe of clothes to wear.

After a wardrobe audit (using Margaret's Digital Camera), Barbara and Margaret decided which clothes could be used, which could be altered and which could be discarded. Barbara then suggested a Colour and Style consultation for Margaret.

Using the advice from the consultation some alterations were done to original clothes. A personal shopping excursion then added some new outfits and accessories to update the original clothes.

Here you see how taking up the hem and adding a scarf and shoulder pads improved the green suit. Tying the scarf up higher would even look better because Margaret is not very tall and using the "eyes up principal" would give the illusion of height.
