This year our school purchased four of the Baraque Foldaway Cutting Tables. We have 22 students in our Textile Elective Classes all trying to layout and cut their fabric at one time. With limited table space this can be very stressful.

The Baraque Foldaway Tables have enabled our students to easily assemble them in a double lesson, and layout and cut their pattern with minimum effort. The comfortable working height makes it easier for the students to cut out neatly.

The strength of the tables have allowed them to be used and packed away a number of times throughout the year with no damage to their surface.

SEW TALL XTENSION

 

I am 6ft 2in (188cm) tall, and I sew. It is axiomatic – tall women sew! The surface of my cutting table did not even reach halfway up my thighs, so I was forced to bend quite low while I worked. Needless to say, I suffered considerable back pain.

 

Then I discovered Baraque’s Foldaway Cutting Table. The surface of this reached the level of my crotch - a huge improvement. It is a much better working height.

 

I had not thought the table could be improved, but now that I have tried the extended legs, this is a definite  leap forward. Now the working surface of the table is just below the level of my waist – the perfect working height. For the first time in my life. I can work without bending, thus pain-free sewing!

 

I use the full Xtension. Because the weight of the table and whatever is on it, is borne by the slits  I have (after ensuring I do not need to make any adjustments in their length) reinforced those slits with cloth tape, Now the legs will not tear and my wonderful working surface will remain at the perfect height.
